  • DESCRIPTION: A pair of pencil signed prints, a working proof and finished example after a bronze medal depicting Louis XII commemorating the entry of Louis XII and Anne of Brittany into Lyons on July 10, 1499.<br><br> Charles Courtry (1846-1897. Engraver and etcher; born in Paris, worked for an architect at the age of 14, pupil of Leon Gaucherel and the etcher Leopold Flameng. Engraved nearly 500 reproductive plates; worked in Paris at the French Etching Club in 1875, and in London where he exhibited at the RA, also etched plates for 'Magazine of Art'. Legion of Honour in 1881, died in Paris.
