  • DESCRIPTION: Plate XVII from "The Temple of Flora; or Garden of Nature. Picturesque Botanical Plates of the New Illustration of the Sexual System of Linnaeus." Second state of three. Engraved by Caldwell after the painting by Reinagle. <br><br> This series was published in London between 1799 and 1807 and contained a total of thirty-one plates. They are among the most important (and most beautiful) botanical prints ever published.
