• DESCRIPTION: Later printings printed by Max Williams c.1916. Originally from "MANUAL OF THE CORPORATION OF THE CITY OF NEW YORK." Illustrated by George Hayward. This work represented one of the finest publications about the City of New York. It documented neighborhood by neighborhood and block by block every area in Manhattan. The manuals came out annually from the 1840s until the 1870s. There was a revival of Valentine's Manual in the early part of the 20th century.
