The JAVA totally dismasted endeavouring to Wear by assistance of a Fury Staysail hoisted to the Stump of the Foremast and Bowsprit; the CONSTITUTION Crossing her Bow in a Raking Position, Compels her to Surrender at 50 Min: past 5." This is the third plate from a set of four that shows one of the three major battles that the U.S.S. Constitution fought during the War of 1812.
