DESCRIPTION: This decorative map shows Hannonia in Belgium, focusing on the area around the city of Mons, including Tournai, Charleroi, Maubeuge and Valenciennes. This map was first issued by N. Visscher in the late seventeenth century. Schenk purchased Visscher's plates in 1712 and reissued them. This particular copy has unusually nice full original coloring.
