DESCRIPTION: The subtitle continues with "When he fell into the Sea, July 23, 1785, off the Coast of Yarmouth. Major John Money was an English ballooning enthusiast who made three flights during the course of his career. His second ascent proved almost fatal when he crashed into the sea off the coast of Yarmouth. Money spent five hours in the freezing water before he was rescued by the crew of the “Argus”. His perilous adventure made him a celebrated personality, and his near death experience was illustrated in a number of contemporary prints.
