DESCRIPTION: No publication line. Sir Hans Sloane, (1660 – 1753) physician, collector & inventor. He started collecting objects of natural history as a youth which inspired him to go into the medical profession. "He is notable for bequeathing his collection to the British nation which became the foundation of the British Museum." After trying a chocolate drink in the West Indies (said to be made with water) he 'bettered' it by using milk which became popular in England.
