Michael Biddle

painter, printmaker, He is the son of the artist George Biddle. He studied at Harvard; the Fine Arts Academy, Vienna; Central School of Art and Crafts, London; and Skowhegan School of Painting and Sculpture in Maine.

His first interest was in printmaking and he produced a large body of etchings and lithographs throughout his career. He taught at the School of Visual Arts; Pratt Graphic Center; and Truro Center for the Arts where he taught Fresco painting.

Biddle’s work is held by the Metropolitan Museum of Art, the New York Public Library, the Boston Public Library, the Library of Congress, the Walter Chrysler Museum, and many others.
