Theodor Ettling was an engraver, lithographer and draughtsman who spent most of his working life in London. He engraved and lithographed numerous maps and charts for firms such as Day & Sons; Longman, Brown, Green and Longmans; and cartographer Jacob Swart. He also produced engravings for storybooks, such as R. Worthington's publication of "Aesop's fables" (1884), "Stories for the Home Circle" (1873-76) and "The Childrens Fairy Geography" (c.1879).
